Nichido Moisturizing Makeup Remover Review

This is my first makeup remover so I have nothing to compare it to. This is Nichido Moisturizing Makeup Remover.
I chose this because, it was the cheapest makeup remover that I can find at watsons that time. It has a very attractive turquoise color bottle.

PRICE:

I bought it at watsons for 198 pesos. It contains 100 ml of product

PACKAGING:

Back

It comes in a clear plastic bottle. I love the color because it is very cool to the eyes.

FORMULA:

  • It is a clear oil that dissolves makeup. It can dissolve waterproof makeup(oil based products)
  • Skin feels moisturized after washing off excess oil/product.
  • Mild. Did not break me out.
  • No Scent

PERFORMANCE:

Directions:

  1.  Use a cotton ball to place the oil onto the face to dissolve the makeup.
  2.  Wipe your face with the cotton to remove all the makeup.
  3.  Rinse it with water to remove the oily residue.

I've Swatched concealers, lip pencil, mascara, highlighter, blush, lipstick, eyebrow pen and liquid makeup onto my arm.

After Using the Makeup remover.
No reside of makeup left

I also used this to remove my waterproof mascara in my Maybelline Hypercurl Mascara Review. You can still see the oil under my eyes because I haven't rinsed it yet.

FINAL VERDICT:

It removes makeup well(even waterproof makeup) and it moisturizes the face. My only downside is that you have to wash your face after because, I am too lazy to do that.

Overall I give this 4.5 out of 5

Sassy Colors Creamy Matte Lip Color Review

This super colorful box is from sassy colors. It is a creamy matte lip color with vitamins A and E.
Wild and Colorful box

PRICE:

I got this for 165 pesos at my local department store. Very affordable.

PACKAGING:

The lipstick tube is a a sleek, white, plastic tube with silver plated accents. Very cute and modern.
The box is really colorful and cute while the tube of lipstick, itself, is very plain and simple.

FORMULA:

I got the shade Chocolate Sunflower
Has a strong waxy scent

Very smooth and creamy.
Does not leave the lips dry and does not emphasize the lines and dryness

  • The formula is what it claims to be. . . Creamy Matte. It is not super dry but it is also not super reflective. This is great for people with dry lips who want matte colors.
  • It also has a strong waxy scent
  • Another downside was the color. I was not able to swatch it when purchasing and the color was off  and too light for me.

LONGEVITY:

It transfers easily. Full color payoff only lasted up to two hours.

A lot of the product transferred to my hand

FINAL VERDICT:

I like the formula because it is creamy matte but the color is a bit off for me. I suggest getting a swatch first to make sure that the color suits you well.

Overall I give this 2.5 out of 5

LOL Bronzing Powder Review

Bronzing Powders are commonly used to warm up the face and to give depth and shadows for a more natural look. I saw this bronzer at an LOL Stand and bought it so that I can give it a try.

PRICE:

I bought it at Watsons for 299 pesos. It has 8 grams

FORMULA AND PACKAGING:

The Packaging looks good. You can see a lot of the product from the outside and the compact is simple. It comes in a plastic compact form.

The powder is not fully pressed because after dropping it once on the floor, this happened. . . .
the powder cracked easily.
The powder  is really matte, smooth, and fime.
I got the shade 02 Brown Sugar which is a matte warm brown.
It has a very orange tint. It is quite intimidating to put on.

PERFORMANCE:

  • It has only three shades
  • The shade I got is very pigmented and very orange.
  • It looks very intimidating to use because it is too orange
  • Has a matte finish
  • The powder is fine and smooth
A swatch shows how pigmented this product is
It looks okay when properly blended but it's still too orange for my liking.

FINAL VERDICT:

I am not fond of using this as bronzer because it is too orange. I sometimes use it as blush and light contour.
It is very pigmented . You just have to control the amount because too much will make you look too orange and unnatural. This Shade will look better on people with warm undertones.

Overall, i rate  this Bronzing Powder 3 out of  5

OMG Box Nail File Review

You know that colorful boxy thing you see at the nails section of the department store. I bought one of that because I was so attracted to it. I named it 'Box Nail File' because it is a nail file that is shaped like a box. haha

I got one from the brand Oh My Girl.

For starters, I would like to say do not buy this product. You are better off purchasing a cheaper nail file. that being said, I will continue with my review

PRICE:

I bought it for 27 pesos at my local department store. Pricier than a regular sandpaper nail file.

PACKAGING:

It is a box shaped nail file. I was initially attracted to the colors of the box but, what got me to buy this product was that it has four different uses for the nails. At every side of the box, you get a different use.

All you have to do is rub your fingernail onto the box.

PERFORMANCE:

Side 1 (File Nail Edge)
All sides have these foam like thing attached to it with different textures.
Side 1 (File Nail Edge) has the roughest texture but it is far from sand paper.

Side 2 (Remove Ridges)
I don't know the difference between Side 1(File nail edge) and Side 2 (Remove Ridges).
I see no difference when I use these sides.  The surface of the box is too soft for it to file my nail.

Side 3 (Smooth Nail)
Side 3(Smooth Nail)
This feels like rubbing your nails on foam. It has no effect whatsoever.

Side 4 (Shine Nail)
Side 4(Shine Nail) is a little bit effective. It does add a little shine to my nail.
Before using Side 4(Shine Nail)
The shine of my nail is very dull
After using Side 4 (Shine Nail)
The nail became shinier
This is the only side I found to be effective

FINAL VERDICT:

Like I said, You are better off purchasing a cheap nail file (The sandpaper one) because this doesn't do anything other than shine my nail. @@ It is quite disappointing because I had high hopes that the quality was okay but it turned out to be bad.

Overall I rate this 1.5 out of  5

QUIX FX NO-SHINE MATTIFIER Review

Hello there! This review will be on Quick fx no shine mattifier. This is branded as one of the cheapest primers out there in the market.

I read so many good reviews about this product so I want to put it to the test.

I have combination skin and i usually oil up around the nose and forehead area.

PRICE:

I bought it at Watsons for 89 pesos.

CLAIMS:

PACKAGING:

I love how this sachet comes with a resealable cap because, it's not messy and it's very travel friendly.

APPLICATION:

This comes in a gel like form similar to Maybelline Pore Eraser. It has a velvety feel and it makes your skin matte, super soft, and smooth to the touch upon application.

LONGEVITY:

I applied the Quick FX no shine mattifier on the right side of my face (Left side of the photo) and used a tinted moisturizer all over the face. Makeup holds well on top of the product.

Both sides are still matte after 1 hr of application.

AFTER 5 HOURS...

With Quick FX    VS    Without Quick FX
The side with Quick fx is a bit oily but there is no visible shine unlike the right side of the photo(without Quick fx).

With      VS     Without
After 5 hours
Almost same amount of oil was taken from both sides of the face. Oil control only lasted up to 4 hours

As for controlling oil, it did made my skin oil up less which is okay but, honestly, i was expecting to still be matte after five hours. haha

AFTER 8 HOURS...

Makeup on the face (especially forehead) is entirely gone. The concealer, blush and eye shadow is still there. I am definitely oily on both sides of my face. By this time, the effect of the quick fx is gone.

FINAL VERDICT:

  • Its good at controlling oil for 2-4 hours max especially if you sweat a lot and has oily skin.
  • As primer, makeup did last longer but the full effect will only last for 4-5 hours.
  • I tried it over makeup but, instead of making me matte and erase my pores, it just moved my tinted moisturizer around making the area cakey.

My makeup did last a bit longer and my skin oiled up less so I would still use it daily. It did not live up to my expectation to make my face matte all day. I would suggest giving it try yourself to see the effect with your skin type.
Overall, it is an okay product and I would rate this product 4 out of 5

OMG One Dip Instant Nail Lacquer Remover Review

When I first saw this at an OMG stall, I literally said "OMG" hahaha. I was blown away by the concept of just dipping your fingers to remove nail polish probably because I am super lazy.

PRICE:

I bought this at an OMG stand at my local bazaar for 50 pesos. (I don't know if this is the actual price or if it was on sale)

CLAIMS:

  • 0% drying
  • 0% acetone
  • 0% smearing.
  • safe
  • No more cotton and acetone
  • Faster than acetone-based formula

HOW TO USE:

Simply dip each finger into the pot, and twist into the pre-soaked sponge

There is a sponge soaked in solution inside.

You push each finger inside and twist the bottle to soak the nail in solution and rub the dissolved nail polish onto the sponge.

PERFORMANCE:

BEFORE
I painted my nails with different brands (Sassy colors, Rain, Chic)
and different colors to see if it affects the process differently

AFTER
After using the product. No white residue and left my nails clean and dry.
It removes light colors easily. no trace of nail polish was left on my nails.
It took me only five to six twist of the bottle to fully remove the nail polish.
As for darker colors, there is a little bit left on the sides of my nails. (Hard to reach areas)
What i suggest you do, is get the nail thoroughly soaked in the solution first, wait a few second for the product to dissolve it, then twist making sure you get all parts of your nails rubbed against the sponge.

PROS:

  • No white residue after removal
  • fast
  • easy to use
  • removes nail polish instantly
  • No messy and dirty cotton balls
  • lasts long. Its is resealable so you can use it again and again
  • Fun to use

CONS:

  • You have to create your own technique in getting the sides of the nails thoroughly clean.
  • Very bulky. It is not travel sized
  • strong chemical scent

FINAL VERDICT:

This is a good product because it is faster and easier to remove the nail polish and this does not leave any white residue on the nails. My tip is to find  a technique to get those hard to reach ares. Try it out and see how it will work for you.

Overall I rate this 4 out of 5
