Maybelline Baby Lips SPF20 Lip Balm in Anti-Oxidant Berry Review

Product Description:

"Tired of the same promise? Go one step further, from Maybelline New York. Adult strength care for baby soft lips. Lasting 12 hour moisture and hydration. Shed away rough dryness for a supple and smooth looking lips all day long. "

PRICE:

This Costs 79 pesos and it contains 4 grams of balm.

Back of the packaging

PACKAGING:

This comes in a small, plastic tube with a twist at the bottom. The product is flat like typical lip balms. Very small and compact.

FORMULA:

The formula is waxy and just like all of the lip balms from Maybelline, it has a strong candy like scent. The scent may be bothering to those who are sensitive to smells but, I personally like it.

12 HOUR MOISTURE?

I have really dry lips and this gives my lips immediate relief and moisture that it needs. But, the moisture did not last for twelve hours.

After one hour, I can still feel the moisture but my lips are starting to flake up.

After two hours, my lips are dry again and is in need of moisture again.

FINAL VERDICT:

I like their lip balms because they do the job and give moisture to my dry lips. Although it is not 12 hour moisture, I don't mind reapplying it because I like the strong candy scent. It also has SPF 20 which is a plus compared to other brands that has no SPF.

Overall I give this 4 out of 5

Aido Lipstick Review

This is the lipstick that is included in Aido's promo pack (eyeshadow and lipstick) sold for 100 pesos. But, you can buy this separately.

PRICE:

I bought it separately for 25 pesos. very affordable. Probably one of the cheapest lipstick I've ever seen.

PACKAGING:

Purple colored lip stick
Clear tube
It comes in a clear plastic tube.

Only printed detail on the tube
Aside from the 'Aido' label, lot number, and manufacturing date, this has no other information written on the tube. No ingredients list, no information whatsoever. It doesn't even have a box.

FORMULA:

The number 9 is printed at the bottom of the tube. Not sure if this is the shade number

  • Very creamy.- It is has a lip balm like formula.
  • The color is not that pigmented. The pigment is similar to a tinted lip balm. It adds only a sheer hint of color. I love the purple tint.
  • Bothering Strong candy scent- not that pleasing but it goes away after a few hours.
Photo under artificial light
Very Sheer- texture and finish is like lip balm

LONGEVITY:

Transfers easily.
very sheer pigmentation
It lasts for two to three hours.

FINAL VERDICT:

I did not expect much because it was very cheap. But i find the formula okay for my dry lips. This is very similar to a lip balm not a lipstick.

Overall I give this 3 out of 5

Sassy Colors Creamy Matte Lip Color Review

This super colorful box is from sassy colors. It is a creamy matte lip color with vitamins A and E.
Wild and Colorful box

PRICE:

I got this for 165 pesos at my local department store. Very affordable.

PACKAGING:

The lipstick tube is a a sleek, white, plastic tube with silver plated accents. Very cute and modern.
The box is really colorful and cute while the tube of lipstick, itself, is very plain and simple.

FORMULA:

I got the shade Chocolate Sunflower
Has a strong waxy scent

Very smooth and creamy.
Does not leave the lips dry and does not emphasize the lines and dryness

  • The formula is what it claims to be. . . Creamy Matte. It is not super dry but it is also not super reflective. This is great for people with dry lips who want matte colors.
  • It also has a strong waxy scent
  • Another downside was the color. I was not able to swatch it when purchasing and the color was off  and too light for me.

LONGEVITY:

It transfers easily. Full color payoff only lasted up to two hours.

A lot of the product transferred to my hand

FINAL VERDICT:

I like the formula because it is creamy matte but the color is a bit off for me. I suggest getting a swatch first to make sure that the color suits you well.

Overall I give this 2.5 out of 5

EB Matic Lipstick Review

I went out searching for a lipstick and got this EB Advance Matic Lipstick. At first glance, I thought it was Matte Lipstick but looking upclose, it was MATIC not MATTE. haha

PRICE:

I bought it for Php 180 at my local department store.

PACKAGING:

It looks like a permanent marker with a twist thing at the bottom. Its color combination is so cute! It comes in a plastic white tube with black prints and a color accent at the bottom.

I chose the shade 'Sweet Sorbet' basing it at the bottom of the tube. The color at the bottom is a nude brownish pink but, it is actually light pink when applied. (The color at the bottom of the tube wasn't the same as the color payoff when applied on the lips so better swatch the product first before buying). Anyway, I still like the color of the lipstick so it's okay.
Photo under Natural light
The color payoff is really light pink and not brownish pink.

FORMULATION:

It has a creamy matte finish. It glides on smoothly. It has a strong coconut scent. Those who are sensitive to scents  will not like this product.

I honestly don't like the formulation because it looks really patchy on me. Some areas have more product than other areas. It also emphasized my dry lips making flakes of dry skin stand out A LOT. If you have dry lips, I would suggest putting on a lip moisturizer or a lip balm first to hydrate and eliminate dry flakes because this product emphasizes dry lips.

LONGEVITY:

Transfers easily
It transfers easily and is not kiss proof.. Definitely avoid eating if you want this product to stay on your lips longer.

AFTER 2 HOURS...

The lipstick only lasted for two hours. It made my lips very patchy and dry flakes are very visible. I kept on peeling the dry flakes thus, removing the lipstick with the bits of dry skin.

FINAL VERDICT:

I have a love hate relationship with this lipstick. There are times that I like this and there are times that I don't.
I love the color and the consistency of this lipstick but, the thing that turned me off was that it looks patchy on dry lips and it doesn't last long. I would only recommend this product to those lucky people with hydrated lips. Haha
If you have dry lips like me I would suggest moisturizing the lips first or buying another type of lipstick.

Overall, I would give this product 2.5 out of 5
