San-San HD Concealer Review

This is a review of San San HD Concealer.

For this product, you have to twist multiple times to get the product out from the tube upon initial use. (took me like 20-30 twists -.-) After that,, you have to twist it carefully and slowly every time you use it (5 clicks at a time) otherwise, product would just come gushing out of the pen. That happened to me before and wasted some of the concealer.

PRICE:

I bought this at HBC for Php105. It is super affordable for an HD Concealer.

PACKAGING AND FORMULA:

It is pen-type with a brush applicator on one end and a part where you twist to get the product out on the other end.

The consistency is creamy. I would usually blend it using my fingers. It has a medium to heavy coverage which is great for concealing. It has a matte finish but i still set it with powder so that it stays in place.

PERFORMANCE:

Photo under artificial light
Used concealer only. No powder
I applied one layer of this concealer under my eyes. As you can see, it did a great job at covering my dark under eye circles. It glides on smoothly and there is no creasing and caking.

Photo with head tilted downwards.
I also took a before and after photo using the product with my head tilted downwards because the dark circles are more visible when the head is tilted downwards. This did a great job covering my under eye circles.

It also covered the redness around my nose well but it emphasized my whiteheads on my nose.

It can cover the redness well.
For covering pimples, I find that it cakes up when you put it on top.

The concealer has medium to full coverage. It can really cover my dark undereye circles. It can conceal the redness around my nose but, it tends to get cakey around that area.

It covered my pimple  well but if you look really really close, you can see it cake up

LONGEVITY:

My undereye concealer lasts up to 12 hours and more. No caking when set properly. (thumbs up!)

When using it around my nose and cheek, this will lasts up to four hours. During that time, my nose will start to excrete oils then, it will start to cake up and dissolve.

FINAL VERDICT:

I love this product as an under eye concealer mainly because it lasts all day and the coverage is awesome. It did settle into my fine lines but, if i set it with powder properly, it will stay put throughout the day.
I am not so crazy about using this around the nose because it gets cakey and using this usually fades after a few hours on my blemish. Maybe the reason for the concealer lasting better on my under eyes is because that specific area is dry. (I have Combination skin) My nose and cheek area is oily so maybe the oil dissolved/ moved the product around after a few hours.

Nonetheless, i suggest you give it  a try to see how this works on you. besides, the price is a very affordable considering that it is an HD product.

I rate this 3.5 out of 5

Omni White Lotion Review

Product Description

"Omni White Lotion is a new innovation that comes from the name of the product itself. 'Omni' is a Latin prefix meaning 'All'. Our product is a combination of highly effective skin whitening actives which are Oxidized Glutathione, Licorice, and Alpha-Arbutin"

PRICE:

Back contains product information and ingredients.

This costs 588 pesos. Super Pricey for a 200 ml lotion.

PACKAGING:

This comes in a giant squeezable tube. It is big and bulky. Quite a hassle if you will be carrying this around.
I do not like the big opening because it releases a lot of product.

FORMULATION:

White, thick lotion
  • It is a white lotion and its formula is very thick and creamy.
  • The formula kind of reminds me of 'Moist lotion' (Instant whitening milk lotion) but, the Moist lotion leaves a moisturized feeling while this gives a non sticky feeling. It has a very thick consistency and is a bit sticky at first but dries up after a few minutes into a powder like finish.
  • The product dries and sets instantly after spreading.Spreading is hard and can get patchy if not blended well.
  • Scented. Smells like a mild perfume

PERFORMANCE:

White Cast:?
It does not give a weird white cast

SPF?
It did not say anything about SPF but, Titanium dioxide is listed as the second ingredient which means it has a high amount of that. Titanium Dioxide serves as a barrier against harmful UV rays from the sun.

Whitening?
Without product (left)  VS  With product (right)
As you can see, it has a noticeable difference in color
It has an instant whitening effect. As for long term effects, I really can't tell if this will whiten my skin because, I've only used it for one week only and I am also using a whitening soap with this lotion.

Without VS With
Photo under artificial light
Right side is definitely lighter than the left side

Moisturizing?
No. Skin feels dry because the finish is powder like. Honestly, I like the finish because I find sticky "Moisturizing" lotions to be bothering especially on hot humid days here in the Philippines.

Waterproof?

No.
When wet, the product dissolves with the water
Long Lasting?
This lasts the whole day and stays put if you don't wet it.

FINAL VERDICT:

The biggest problem I find with this product is the price and the effect when water gets in contact with your skin. It is too expensive for people to buy. And that it easily dissolves when you get wet.

I like that it is a powder like finish which is not sticky and it gives you the sun protection you want.  If you can afford it, give it a try. If you can't, there are other lotions that gives almost the same instant whitening effect at a much cheaper price.

Overall I give this 3 out of 5
