GATSBY Oil Clear Sheet Review

I found out about this product from watching youtubers who recommended this oil blotting sheet for oily skin. I was mostly intrigued by the color of this blotting sheet because it is gray but, it turns into shiny black once oil is absorbed.

PRICE:

 It costs Php 105 at watsons. Quite pricey for 70 pieces of blotting sheets. 

PACKAGING:

It comes in a black and white cardboard box thing. Very minimal design. All the information about the product is written on the plastic cover of the product. 

What I don't like about the packaging (and this goes to all brands of blotting sheets) is that it comes in a cardboard box that is easily destroyed and pressed by the things inside my bag.

SHEETS:

I think the oil control sheets are magic. @@ hahaha! I just love how the gray sheet turns into a shiny black film once it will absorb oil. This product makes me see and feel that all of the oil is removed from my face. 

The quality of the sheets are really good. It is made up of some stretchy material (not paper) that is really durable. You get what you pay for.

PERFORMANCE:

 I just used the blotting sheet. . . No powder. The blotting paper absorbed the oil from my face and made it matte. 

I cut each sheet in half so that i could really get the most out of each sheet. Usually half of one sheet is enough for my whole face.

FINAL VERDICT:

I really love the quality of this product. People with oily skin should definitely invest in this product and give it a try. Performance wise, It does what its supposed to and I definitely had fun using this because of the color changing magic.

Nichido Final Powder vs Fashion 21 loose powder Review

This will be my take on the differences and similarities between the Nichido Final Powder and Fashion 21 loose Powder. I will be weighing the pros and cons of each product and hopefully guide you in choosing which powder that best suits you.

I love both these powders. I think the packaging is very minimal and sleek and the color combination is very modern-ish.

For less than Php 200 you get A LOT of powder in a durable plastic container. Definitely a steal for the price.

The difference between the two is the powder puff and the SPF content.  The powder puff of Nichido is tough. I feel something poking my skin when i use the puff unlike the powder puff of Fashion 21 which is very , very, very, SOFT (love using the puff on my face) .

Other shades have glitters and pink undertones. Both powders are finely milled but the Fashion 21 has a smoother finish and feel.

The Nichido powder is translucent meaning it has no color and does nothing to change the foundation used. (only used for setting). I use this to set my everyday tinted moisturizer and it does the job well.

The Fashion 21 has a yellow undertone meaning it can alter the shade of the foundation used once applied to set. (can be used for setting foundation but adds a slight color). I use it to set bb creams that are too light for my skin. Since the color is darker than my skintone, it balances the color of my face making it match my neck and body better.

Both powders are flash friendly.  As you can see, Fashion 21 has a darker shade and it set my light foundation to better match my neck and body. If your foundation is too light, its better to use a darker setting powder(Fashion 21). If your foundation matches your skin tone, use a translucent setting powder (Nichido).

FINAL VERDICT:

As I've said, both powders do the job nicely. They are okay in terms of quality and price. These powders are better used for setting liquid foundations/bb creams. Using it alone will give you zero coverage since this is just a setting powder.

Those who want a translucent powder, go for NICHIDO. Those who want a tinted setting powder, go for FASHION 21.
