Maybelline All-in-one Shine free Pressed Powder Review

I bought this powder to see if it's a good everyday powder. I was looking for something that looks natural but has a little coverage. I bought the refill one.

PRICE:

I bought it at Watson's for Php 99. The product contains 3 grams.

PACKAGING:

The packaging looks great! It comes in a girly, pink, and tiny compact perfect for travelling. It has a sponge with a plastic separator (Very hygienic) and it has a mirror. (Yes! This refill has a mirror)

FORMULATION:

  • The powder itself is fine. It is smooth when applied on the Skin
  • It has SPF 32PA+++
  • It comes in 5 Shades (I think).  I got the Shade in 02 Nude Beige. This has a yellow undertone. The shades don't do much for me because, even if you choose the darkest shade, it will still look white on the face. . . well. . . at least for me. (I also have their darkest shade in 05 Sand Beige).

PERFORMANCE:

Photo with Flash
It looks okay in photos but you have to blend it well to avoid looking patchy
If you have dry skin, I suggest you only put a very thin layer because, it will look cakey if you put on too much

PROS:
  • It has a matte finish upon application
  • Has SPF 32PA+++
  • Evened out my Skin tone
  • Light to Medium Coverage (Covered redness around nose and under eye bags)
  • Smooth Finish

CONS:
  • White cast- Probably because its too bright for my face and i've put on too much
  • Looks kind of Grayish on my Skin. (Both 05 Sand Beige and 02 Nude Beige looks Grayish on me).
  • May face oiled up after 4 hours (Does not control Shine ALL DAY)

AFTER 4 HOURS...

Photo under natural light.
Face is oily but the powder is still there.

The powder is still there and it looks way better compared to how it looked the when freshly applied on the face. It looks more natural now. My face is really oily. The oil control only lasted for 3 hours on my combination skin + super hot day.

After Blotting, it looks okay. I don't feel the need to retouch with powder.

FINAL VERDICT:

I would recommend this to people who wants to have instant brightening from  powders. I honestly would like to use this as an everyday powder because it has some coverage. The only thing that turned me off was that it somehow looks too white for my liking. Under natural light, you can really see that you've applied powder to your face. I want a powder to match my skin and not make it too white. It also did nothing to control oil. I still oil up pretty much the same.

Give it a try to if you are not too bothered by the color payoff.

Overall I would rate this 3.5 out of 5.
